Tanka poems are short, poems with only 31 syllables that go like this:
The first line has 5 syllables,
The second line has 7 syllables
The third line has 5 syllables,
And the fourth and fifth lines both have 7 syllables.
I just wrote a small poem (tanka) about spring and how it is trying to cure and save the air pollution. However nature is not strong enough because we are damaging the air.
Fighting pollution
In Beautiful Spring
All new flowers burst and bloom
The endangered air
Must have nature to survive
Or it will fade, like we will

February, full of fun
Snowflakes surprising the sun
Wind whistles wildly
Fragrant flowers form mildly

Winter walked wildly
Without worrying
Wearing a white wardrobe
Whispering wintry wind

Snow is so beautifully white
It makes the place so bright
But when it melts away
It changes the mood of the day!

The type of poetry called Septolet consists of only seven lines with fourteen words with a gap in between the two parts. Both parts deal with the same ideas and create imagery.
Nature
Trees
Slowly swaying
Quietly whispering
In natures ears
Grass
A green carpet
Covering earth

Alliteration is when a poem contains two or more words that begin with the same letter or sound.
Sea side
four funny fishes fight for food
two troublesome terrapins try to travel
only one octopus overgrew over others
sharp shark’s shrieked so surprised
alligators arrived altogether acting arrogant
swimming splashing squirreling so satisfied
sea side sounds seriously super sometimes

I am a beautiful flower
With petals bursting with colour
I drift past all kinds of landscapes
My name is the butterfly, no other
I am a flower that blooms in the air
And the caterpillar is my seed
And like every ordinary flower
I start to grow in spring, indeed
Poets don’t think my name is enough
The poet uses its inner power
Then I am finally satisfied
When the poet calls me the flying flower

April30
Grass and plants slowly grow
England is mild and Antarctica is full of snow
Oceans all around are taking over the world
Glittering countries on this Earth that is curled
Rivers and mountains up high
And lovely forming clouds in the sky
People are digging because of earthquakes and stuff
Hey earth is not just lovely it’s full of dangerous things and it’s rough
You just have to love geography
