A cinquain is a short poem with 5 lines. The theme of the poem is a noun and the rest of it is written to describe that noun. This is the structure it follows:
First Line: A noun that is the subject of the poem as well as the title.
Second Line: Two words (Adjectives) that describe the title/noun.
Third Line: Three βingβ words that also describe the noun.
Forth Line: A phrase with four words that relate to the noun.
Fifth Line: A synonym for the noun in the first line.

What a lovely site you have. Your peacock cinquain is clever. Have you ever seen a white peacock? The males can have a single blue eye in their tales.

The structure of a cinquain is rather amazing. I love your peacock verse. Now I have to try this! I’ll have to try one! Did I get it correct? Did I make a cinquain? (crossing fingers here!)
