Monorhyme Poem – 5 W Poem

Monorhyme Poem – 5 W Poem

5 w poem and monorhyme poem about winter

Snow

Snow, snow; hauntingly white
You decided to invade London tonight
When I opened my curtains to let in some light
The outside appeared bizarrely bright
Because of you sensational sight

Hi Marinela .. I love this .. the snow certainly sends up a different sparkly light .. and the night too .. has a different hue.

We’ve had over a foot down here .. south coast .. and still hanging around .. but the birds had some melting water to drink today as the sparkly golden sun came out ..

Love the views .. just hate the inconvenience! Hilary

  2. Marinela says:

Haha yes I agree Hilary, the inconvenience is unfortunate, but nothings perfect. The views were truly amazing, its a shame it had to rain here now and melt all of the snow. Have a happy Sunday (:

    Take care,

    Marinela

Enjoy while it’s white…I just posted a poem about a few days after the storm when it’s all yucky (called Monotone). Nice job of rhyming, flows well.

  4. Oh my, I would love to experience snow! It’s so beautiful! I live near the equator, and I don’t think it will ever snow here, not in my lifetime, at least. The few times I’ve been to the US, it was always spring, so no snow for me.

I really like the poem. Simple and short, yet very uplifting and took me to your part of the world in winter.

This relived a memory of the brightness!

This year snow is slow in coming to Kansas City. I don’t get to enjoy the sensational white yet. Perhaps for Christmas. Beautiful and short poem. Thank you.

  7. Pietro says:

Marinela, how beautiful is your feeling about snow. A very nice poem indeed. I find snow aways so fascinating!

  8. Lucky London, burning bright with cold snow!

  9. Mitchell says:

This is particularly amazing. We just had a few day of ice and snow on the ground 🙂

Ah yes, and I have a proposal for you. I have been having a lot of trouble finding inspirational items worth writing on. I don’t know if your familiar with the Poet SLPMartin (www.slpmartin.wordpress.com)… but he has entered into inspiration exchanges between himself and two other poets (Jade http://jadepaloma.wordpress.com/ and RR http://riversruminations.blogspot.com/)

They have chosen many different format including art and quotes. Would you be interested in doing something like this?

Cheers! You have my email via this post. Hope to hear from you soon~!

Beautiful poem to go along with that gorgeous photo! Looks like you have enough snow to build three generations of snowmen!!!

  11. Kathleen says:

A beautiful poem. The trees are bare here in New England and I am ready for snow. Thanks for stopping by my site. Glad I found your poetry!

  12. JamieDedes says:

    Wonderful!

Your site is a lot of fun.

Agree with you, it indeed is a sensational sight!

  14. You do get white winters in London … though not fond of this season, the white sometimes appeals with its glow!
