Short Poem – Rhyming Poems
Here is a short poem for kids
There was a little girl
There was a little girl
and she was six
she liked to make statues
out of sticks.
It was her birthday,
on April the twenty-third
her wish was,
to turn into a bird
She wanted to fly
like a bird and to sing,
because of her birthday
was in spring.
She was so excited
to unwrap her presents,
she wished that her birthday party
would never, never end
