Positive Attitude Poem – Short Poem
Never say you’re too powerless
Some like the idea that to have money
Means you instantly have power
To me, that proves their mentality
Is simply petite and sour
As power is the ability
To plant a smile on someone’s face
Or give a few pounds to the homeless
As your kindness, they embrace
Power is dragging someone out of the wrong
And bringing them into the right
Or giving a hug to someone blue
Leading them to delight
Power is teaching a child
Something they’ll remember forever
Or letting someone know they’re appreciated
With a card; as light as a feather
So never say you’re too powerless
To make a change for good
It’s not a matter of what you should do
It’s a matter of what you could

As power is the ability, To plant a smile on someone’s face – what a wonderful sentiment, if only everyone held this belief.

You say it so well in these fine rhymes, Marinela: the real power, not of our money but of our sublime spirit. So true indeed.

..Marinela, you are always true with your poetry… it always shows… most people think that if you are rich and have plenty of money you can rule the world… well, my friend not in all cases…there are things money can’t buy right..?.. love, friendship, acquaintance, peace, and more and more… too sad only few of us realizes it… i hope the world could read this wonderful poem of yours!(:
Brightest blessings!

a very inspiring poem is this..thank for sharing Marinela…keep up sharing your inspiration..
There is a momentum in our society, one that we all embrace to a degree, to constantly improve ourselves financially. As parents we want our children to succeed so we teach them from an early age, as we were taught ourselves, to strive for excellence, to get the best grades, to get into the best schools and become financially well off. Most often the very important things in life, like the love we should be sharing between ourselves, gets lost in the shuffle. Your poem depicts that sadness very well Marinela. Ironically I just wrote a very similar poem and I hope you will have a moment to visit it at johnallenrichter.wordpress.com/2011/10/25/inside-things/
You do not need anything to be good to others and help the needy. And the powerful help others discover themselves. And those who exploit others are actually scoundrels and not powerful.
