Poem about a mother’s love for her children

I wrote this when I was 9!

It’s so hard to be a mum

It’s so hard to be a mum
You have to slave after your children day and night
You have to be the chef when they are hungry
And the peacemaker when they fight

You have to put up with the bad attitude
Buy them anything they want in the shop
And keep a eye on them at all times
To make sure they don’t drop

When they are messy you have to tidy their mess
When they are ill you have to make them feel better
You have to keep them in the center of your soul
And love them today and forever
