Happy Mothers Day – Mother Poems
I wrote this poem for my mother, but I speak on behalf of all grateful sons and daughters.
You are my guardian angel
Your touch is soft and soothing
Like feathers corroding my skin
When I am nothing but evil
You generate my angel within
There are cases when we disagree
I am wrong and you’re demanding
But I would not dream of a mum
Who is more intimate and understanding
Our relationship is peculiar; one of a kind
You are not just my mum on whom I depend
Our bond is always infinite and so intense
You are also my soul mate, sister and friend
People journey through life with one aim; love
But they seem to find shattered hope and lies
I have a love so powerful and raging
And every day it’s before my very eyes
Mum, you cleanse my soul and banish my sin
Together every day is blessed and faithful
I thank you dearly for all that you do
You are my mother and guardian angel
