Halloween Poem – Scary Poems
Halloween Poem – Scary Poems
The dreaded day of Halloween
Her mind was at ease as she gracefully walked
Through the streets of London at night
As the air stood still and her limbs got cold
She remained calm but clenched her fists tight
The silence, the silence; it deafened her slowly
Her vision was blurred so she picked up her pace
Her heartbeats were brutal like never before
Fearful tears began to flood her face
Her legs were brittle; she collapsed to the ground
A warm mist brushed the back of her neck
She kept saying ‘don’t look back keep walking’
Ditching her moral sense she turned to check
Mistake; a large mistake: it was repulsive a filthy sight!
Its gazed just like a predator, waiting for its prey
She wiped her tears gripped the floor
And prepared herself to run away!
Her heart stopped as she ran for her life
She saw a building and stumbled inside
She lost it; for now but not forever
It is after her, she cannot always hide
What did she expect? Peace? Harmony?
She should have known, she should have seen
Nothing ends well in the haunted streets on London
On the dreaded day of Halloween!

spooky!! what a great Halloween read … thanks 🙂
A perfect poem for halloween, spooky. Don’t look back, keep walking – why do they never heed this advice in horror films?
– I have also posted a halloween verse though not nearly as good as your offering and certainly not penned by me.
You do put so much into your poems. Thanks for this.
All the best, Boonie
London is so full of wonderful moments to write about. Your poem is evident of this. Enjoyed this frightful read.
Wow! Good one for Halloween, Marinela! London is rich with its ghostly lore, right?

Hi Marinela .. lovely poem .. and you were so right .. there were very funny people around London over Halloween .. blood and gore, torn clothes, ghostly faces, ghoulish ones too .. the tube was packed, the streets morbid and deathly pale .. just glad I had a warm bed to jump into away from it all! & now glad I’m home!! Have a good week .. Hilary
Very haunting and done within the spirit of the scariest part of the season.
Great!
