Poem about doing good deeds

Good Deed Poems

A poem about doing good deeds

Good Deed Poems

Everybody has the chance

Everybody has the chance
To do a good deed
If you are driving near a school
Lower down your speed
Or maybe when you see the homeless
Give them a pound or two
Lower the sound on the T.V
If the elderly live near you
I am not saying that you must
Give away lungs or your heart
But remember it’s the smallest things
That play the biggest part

  1. Dear Marinela,

Your poetry is amazing! I too have been writing poetry since I was very little, (I am twenty now), but yours is incredible, especially for being only thirteen! Your insight and graceful use of words are wonderful. Is English your first language? (I ask because of the article you have posted – actually, I wasn’t even sure what language it was in!)

If you’d care to see some of mine, I post it at my blog, the Steel Lily (you have the link with my name.) Keep up the good work!!!

    Sincerely,
    Inés de Erausquin

It is very a pity to me, I can help nothing, but it is assured, that to you will help to find the correct decision. Do not despair.

  3. Marinela says:

Thank you for your comment Francinekej, and do not worry i will not despair. You have just done a good deed and gave me a boost of joy by reading and commenting on my poetry and gave my passion to write more poems!

Inés de Erausquin thank you for saying such meaningful things about my poetry and i have read yours and they to are fantastic! Thank you again 🙂

Have you ever thought what is life?
    Why do we even live?
Are we alive to take from people?
Or are we alive to give

I think life is all about spreading love
    In every move we make
    Also to give everyday
    And try not to overtake

  4. I’m so happy you stopped by at my blog (writtenforchildren). Now I get to see yours and visit you. Already, just at first glance, I see such a kind heart here, a heart in touch with the innocence (can we have more?) of the world of children as it should be.
    Best to you.
    tess

You are a person with a beautiful heart Marinela, You also know very well how to make that heart shine through your great poetry at such a young age. Your sensitive and sweet words have brought comfort to my heart. The Pen can be a powerful tool. Thank you so much for sharing your great heartfelt poems. You really have a gift girl. Keep up the fantastic writing and you will grow into a brilliant poet award winning poet when you get older trust me!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. tess says:

The wisest words I think I ever read about poetry taught me this:

Poetry is not there to further your career, bring accolades, awards, scholarships or grants, or to boost your ego; rather, you are there, alone, writing in the service of poetry (not the other way around).

That is what really makes a poet. Not awards, not fame, but service to the art.

All of us who write are contributing to this great enterprise, no matter where we are in terms of professionalism.

  8. Marinela says:

Your words Faith are another source of my inspiration and encouragement.
It is really my pleasure to share my poetry especially to people like you who care to comment on it and to give me confidence and courage to write more and more.

Wow tess they are such meaningful words and they have made me think a lot.
Thank you for the wise words of encouragement that we shared together.
I wish you all of the best,

    If someone is not helpful
Then there meaning in life is not found
    People helping one on other
Its what makes the world go around!

    Marinela.
