Earth is a temple we should worship

Inspirational Nature Poems

Inspirational Nature Poems – Moral poems

Poem about earth and nature

The water flowing in the rivers
With such posture and elegance
Silky flowers swaying in the wind
With a heart tingling fragrance
Animals all over this land
Blessed with the gift of living
Selfish humans take advantage
Of the beauty, life is giving
Butterflies float in the air
Yes, the air which we are polluting
Creatures land in our filth
While they are commuting
The oceans attack my mind
While the desert shatter my heart
We are to self-obsessed to realise
That we are living in art
Earth is a temple we should worship
But let’s just face reality
No amount of art can see through
The selfish eyes of humanity

You speak the truth, Marinela. I don’t think there any excuses anymore for what we do. Everyone is informed. Even the children in the schools learn what you have stated above. So, why is it we don’t move as quickly to to undo what we have caused?

  14. This one is sheer beautiful as well as topical Marinela…needs to be heard and echoed…

You are right earth is a temple, you are right of it value we don’t see as humans, and when one thinks of how vulnerable it all is, we should only learn to love and appreciate it more

i like your thought that we are living in art – it ties in with my belief that artists (painters, writers, poets, etc) create through a spiritual connection with the creator. thanks for leaving your footprints in His garden and Whispers!

Hello there. Well, looks like I’m posting on the first day of Spring! Today is clear and I hope the sun stays out. It’s hard to look around and see such a contradiction..I can’t stand litter and it’s hard for me to peal my eyes away from the road sometimes? Responsibility towards the earth or one another, sadly doesn’t seem to be everyone’s priority..why I’m also reminded it’s not my home?
Well anyhow, just want to wish you a wonderful week~

  29. Sara Healy says:

WOW. This is a powerful poem. I read aloud and I loved how the rhythm of the words. It sings to me in a low quiet voice

Your poem made me think about my favorite road. It’s a canopy road and the tree branches reach over the road creating the canopy. It’s so beautiful, but it always under fire in my town. You can’t widen this road and it has very deep ditches, which to some are dangerous. Still, those who threaten it have not been successful because too many people realize it’s a work of art by nature. Hopefully it will continue to avoid the “selfish eyes of humanity.”

Thank you for this beautiful poem. It was a gift to read:~)

Bless you for your heart Marinela for all God’s creation… sadly this is so very true and the state of our human selfishness so beautifully described in your poem! Thanks to your visit to The Power of Your Love (one of our team blogs) I was able to come and read some of your poems… though I’m not suppose to be blogging (visiting to comment) except through a prayer! So I agree with one above and pray that we learn fast to live in peace with each other and nature… May God protect the earth… His creation that we are destroying… Love how your words paint a picture and flow like the river…
