There Is More To Life Than We Think
I wrote this poem years ago when imagination was the only food to my brain. I hope other children will enjoy this poem as much as I enjoyed writing it.
There is more to the world!
I think there is more to the world
Than what is going on right now
There is more interesting animals
Than the usual sheep, pig and cow
There is such thing as real magic
And humans with just one eye
I am sure that if we put our mind to it
We could learn how to fly…
Iron man is not a myth
There are mermaids that never sink
Trust me I am mostly right
There is more to life than we think

Poem about judgments
‘Narrow minded people are destroying humanity by far’
Judgmental Humans
It’s strange don’t you think
The way judgement is passed around?
We make our own vision of someone
Without a clue of their background
We assume we’ve got them all figured out
Without even knowing who they are
And half of the time we don’t realise
Their hearts are sweeter than ours by far
That girl in the corner who looks so shy
She isn’t a loser who has lost her tongue
You didn’t think maybe she is afraid to talk
Because she has been bullied since she was young
Or that boy with the anger problems
He doesn’t want to punch people so smugly
He just hopes if they’re afraid of him
So one day they might stop calling him ugly
The beautiful girl who goes missing each lunch
Don’t call her a freak and talk about her each night
Maybe she just doesn’t want you to know
About the eating disorder she is trying to fight
I am begging you all to stop judging people
And assuming you know who they are
Because it’s the narrow minded people
Who are destroying humanity by far

Poems For Children
Snowflakes
I’m so petite as you are able to see
I come in different forms; you can agree
Millions and millions falling out of the air
Creating an amazing atmosphere
Swirling and dancing we make no sound
Floating then gently kissing the ground
Cold and chills help with my career
If you cuddle me tight I will disappear

New Year, New Start
New Year Poem 2012 – Happy New Year
For me the First of January
Is simply a fresh start
A time to put all bad behind us
A time to cleanse our hearts
If we failed last year
Its a time to try even more
Forgive the people we love
To heal where we are sore
It is called New Year for a reason
A reason we should value
We shouldn’t drag anything old
Into something pure and new

Tomorrow
The thought of tomorrow can be scary
Having no clue what’s awaiting
Each day is a complete wonder;
Petrifying and somehow frustrating
Tomorrow could be your last
Or the first time you experience living
Tomorrow someone who only takes
Finally concours the art of giving
A sentence or even a word
May completely change your views
The happiness your in right now
Could turn around with some bad news
If your heart and mind are at war today
Peace could be found tomorrow
Smiles happiness and love can replace
Todays frowns, cries and sorrow
At the end of the day simply appreciate
Tomorrow is the worlds biggest mystery
Just know that today is a present
And anything but tomorrow is history

Shape Poem – Christmas Poem
Merry Christmas
To
Have a
Merry Christmas
A merry Christmas indeed
Here is a special list
Of a few things you need
There should be smiles and laughs
Scattered all across the floor
Buckets and buckets of love and joy
Hanging by the windows and the door
Every Christmas there’s nothing like happiness
Hanging all over the Christmas tree
And only the thought giving instead of taking
Should completely invade the minds of you and me
Everyone in the family should always try to be helpful
And Carols will be playing all around
Any type of ungratefulness and negativity
Surely will be ignored and nowhere to be found
Your actions should be nothing but gentle, loving and kind
And each word sweet like a cherry
All of these things this Christmas
Will make your Christmas Merry

Acrostic Christmas Poem
Christmas
Can anyone explain that peculiar feeling?
Held in our souls as we wait for that day
Racing and beating our hearts hit the ceiling
In such excitement all worries decay
Silently waiting for Santa Clauses sleigh
Time seems to drift as each day is sealing
Merry and cheerful smiling away
Always singing and laughing and joyfully squealing
Seizing the happiness of Christmas Day
