I Wrote this when I was 12 years old to tell my sister how much I appreciate her, and all of the things she done, and still does for me.
I adore you so much my sister
You are my right hand
My world, my sweet heart
In my very busy life
You are the main part
You’re my inspiration in life
You help me enjoy my youth
My only guardian angel
In you I see only truth
If I had just one chance
This may sound a little strange
But maybe for a day or two
Places we could change
Please be my younger sister
And I will be the older one
Just like you do to me
I will fill your life with fun
I will put up with annoying things
Things that at the moment I seem to do
Like take your perfume to school
And burn your cloths with super glue
When you get scared I will hold you
And tell you that it’s going to be fine
When you want to look good
I will let you wear cloths of mine
This is all the things you do for me
I hope you know how grateful I am
From know on to be a better sister
I promise to do all I can
I adore you so much my sister
I hope you believe me this is true
Quite frankly what I want to say
Is that I really do love you!

Seeing as the world cup is coming up I thought I would write a short acrostic poem to represent people love for the sport. I hope that you like it.
FOOTBALL
Fun game dressed with fame
Over crowded, fans surrounded
Our minds dream for our team
Tension begins to appear in the atmosphere
Ball is popping, people’s screams aren’t stopping
Amusing not boring, when our team is scoring
Longing they are to score, we all know for sure
Lovely activity simply enjoyable you see

Lantern Poems are short poems and always fun to write, if you like poetry than you will surely enjoy reading and writing them.
Rain
falling
drip drop drip
making us so
wet
Wind
Blowing
Whirls around
Swoosh against us
Force

You may of hurt me a few times
In the long and faithful years
But now my heart will not shatter because
you’re not worth my tears
Or maybe you have accused me
And said words that hurt my ears
But I am strong enough to know
that you’re not worth my tears
You may have abused my heart
more than it appears
But I know there will be others
So your not worth my tears
But thanks for helping me conquer
All of my emotional fears
And helping realize the truth
That your not worth my tears
You may be surprised to know
that all I say is cheers
Never have you, or will you
Be worth my precious tears

Tears

Every single note
Is a second of our day
The symphony so sweet
Makes our worries float away
Legato and staccato
The moods of your and me
the blood in our body
flows like a melody
Every word out our mouths
so sweet and precise
the quick sharp tunes
Freeze you like ice!
Blues, classical and hip-hop
all pleasure they give
every sound proves that
with music we live!

A triplet poem is composed by stanzas of three lines. They have not got a certain rhyming pattern ( but I prefer rhyming them because I think it sounds more elegant to read) The writer has got a huge amount of freedom while writing a triplet poem and can express whatever they want. They can be long poems or short poems, depending on the author. I wrote this triplet poem about a small and a effective thing we all give out and love to receive: hugs. I hope you like my triplet poem!
Hugs
Cuddles are sweet
For hearts they are a treat
They make us feel complete
Hugs throw fears way
They always make our day
Smiles on the face they lay
We must take hugs and give
They make it easier to live
So always: hug and forgive
Our emotions they can mend
When hugs we lend
To family or a friend
So please don’t by shy
Make the human soul fly
Just hug, don’t ask why

Marvelous delicate petals flying in the air
Amazing colorful flowers here and there
Yellow bright sun makes the cold disappear
May, you have reason to be really proud
Among your time, beautiful birds sing so loud
Young children playing games in a big crowd
Most enjoyable month of the long year
Alive are our hearts in this atmosphere
Yes, I do not want you to ever disappear

I wrote this short poem express to everyone how grateful I am to be here and I hope you all feel the same way. Written for: Thursday Poets Rally
Gift Of Living
A miracle so compact
That happens everyday
Like magic every moment
Creating joy in every way
Like the wings of a butterfly
Or the heart warmth of giving
We should be so grateful
For the amazing gift of living!

Monorhyme poems are really easy. You dont need a certain amount of syllables or a certain theme or form. The only rule you must stick to is that every single line rhymes with each other. I hope you like my Monorhyme poem!
You should all have a go!
I must love you is some sort of way
I thought of you the other day
And now that’s where you always stay
At school, or as in bed I lay
Crossing my mind as I pray
When I study or when I play
It’s in there every single weekday
I must love you in some sort of way
Because the thought of you wont go away

Alliteration Poems are lovely to read as they flow off your tongue. They can be short poems or long poems, as much as you are capable off. They can be difficult if you are unable to find subject-specific words that start with the same letter or sound. But its great fun!:) Here is a alliteration example:
Human hearts
Honest hearts having hours of
hope, harmony and health
Heartbroken hearts happen to
handle hurtful hours
Hostile hearts holding
hate, hopelessness and harm
Helpful hearts helping
humankind hit happiness
Hilarious hearts having
hassle-free happy hours
