Little kid

Wretched little kid
Starts to play in dirty mud
And stares at the stars

  1. This is WONDERFUL… the contrast of small, dirty mud and playing with the environment/circumstance he has, against the high, clean stars – bright with hope and possibility – and believing… dreaming of something better, though not knowing what better is… all that and more is contained in 14 words on three simple lines. Masterful!
