The fly

June23

Hey you tiny fly
That quickly flies by
Don’t land on my food
It is really rude

Just please fly away
You’re not welcome to stay
Don’t make me swat you
But I’ll do it if I have to

    How could Fly dare
    So fearing, it just flew
    Out in the blue…

A really fine lighthearted poem, Marinela. I enjoy it.
I notice that in English it’s possible the rhyme between two words written in a different way (food / rude) while in Italian this is not possible.
Have a very beautiful Thursday :-)

:) I laughed at this poem. Marinela. I can’t swat a fly. I wait until it has worked itself into a frenzy and calmed down, catch under a cup and slide a piece of notebook paper underneath. I then carry the whole thing, being careful to keep the paper tight across the bottom and set it free outdoors. I do this with spiders, also. I like to thank they thank me as they are released. Our whole family has picked up this habit and we chuckle. I will have to share your fly poem with them!

A very realistic Poem. I love the thought that the fly is given the benefit of the doubt until it perches…I will attempt swatting it as soon as I notice its presence. Well done!

Marinela, I had one of those rude flies in the living room yesterday. Gave me a merry chase, but I finally got him to accept that he had to leave.

    Fun poem!

Hey, this is cute, and fun too. Everybody can feel this as you did. Well done.

I plan to write a poem called, “Brain the Blinking Centipede” because I was bitten by one during a power cut yesterday evening – and it still hurts.

    All the best, Boonsong

    Hi,

Thanks for dropping by my blog.

Love your poetry, The Fly so apt for this time of the year (Summer UK), but I confess I have pet spiders (webs in corners – not houseproud) so flies don’t last too long if trapped inside. ;)

    best
    Francine

    Marinela Reka,

This is good stuff. Love the fact that your poems are so simple and cute. I checked “About” you and no wonder they are so sweet.

I was reading stuff from poets from other blogs. But your poems are like a fresh smell earth after a light rainfall.

    Thanks!
