We always need something to remind us who we are and how we should treat others in this short life. The shoes in this poem represent the potential we have to make the world a better place.
Let the poem do the talking
Magical Shoes
Every body has a pair of shoes
That makes anger disappear
They turn hate into love
Make you brave, not to fear
They lead your feet to the homeless
So that you can make their day
Make the world a nicer place
To live in and to stay
With them you are not selfish
But all you try to do is give
Make you realise that life is short
So we should all simply live
Every one has these shoes
No bodies have ever gone
So why do some thoughtless people
Not put their shoes on?

I wrote this poem when I was 6 years old, it is about kind words! Since then I have not adjusted to it at all, I have left it to capture the way I felt all those years ago. I hope that everybody likes it because it is coming from a little girls heart.
Kind words are like a honey,
You don’t have to buy them with money,
You just say them one by one
And the job is done.
Kind words are really great,
It is good to say them to your mate
Even if it is too late.
If you break up with someone,
You just say a kind word, only one
And then you have more fun.
Kind words are the best medicine
And treatment for the heart,
You don’t need to buy them at the pharmacy,
It is so easy to say them, it’s never hard
Kind words are magic,
If someone is sad,
You only say one or two
And at once they will be glad.

People say that they want the truth
But when you give it to them, it gives them pain
They blame the truth on you
They ask you questions but there is nothing to explain
That person gets so badly hurt
They suffer from the truth and cry
It makes you think, I hurt them, because I told them the truth
And if I did not I would of felt guilty, of telling a lie
The truth can be painful
Whether you build a bridge and get over it, it is up to you
But when someone tells you the truth and it hurts
Don’t blame them because that’s the right thing for them to do

Everybody has the chance
To do a good deed
If you are driving near a school
Lower down your speed
Or maybe when you see the homeless
Give them a pound or two
Lower the sound on the T.V
If the elderly live near you
I am not saying that you must
Give away lungs or your heart
But remember it’s the smallest things
That play the biggest part

When I look at the people on the street begging
I wish they had a better life and homes too
I give them anything I find in my pocket
There is nothing else I can possibly do
When I think about all the ill people in the world
My heart shrinks and gets small
And I pray for them to get better
There is nothing else I can do at all
I feel really sad and my heart becomes stone
When I see people injured in war or maybe dead
And I can’t do anything without getting involved
All I can do is wish for the war to be over instead
When I see the old and poorly all alone inside
I wish I could have the ability to clone
So I can make thousands like myself
And stay with all of them so they wont feel alone
I don’t know what is wrong with this world
It has so much injustice and selfishness
I am powerless I cannot change it
The only thing I can do is write this
The only thing I can do is write this

Open a window
Take a breath of fresh air
There are people that want you
There are people that care
Outside there is a world
Bigger than its seems
Its not there for us to be grim
It’s to for fill our dreams
Live life as a fairytale
Don’t make it a bore
There are chances around you
So don’t be scared and explore
