Hugs ( Triplet Poems )

May21

A triplet poem is composed by stanzas of three lines. They have not got a certain rhyming pattern ( but I prefer rhyming them because I think it sounds more elegant to read) The writer has got a huge amount of freedom while writing a triplet poem and can express whatever they want. They can be long poems or short poems, depending on the author. I wrote this triplet poem about a small and a effective thing we all give out and love to receive: hugs. I hope you like my triplet poem! :)

Hugs

Cuddles are sweet
For hearts they are a treat
They make us feel complete

Hugs throw fears way
They always make our day
Smiles on the face they lay

We must take hugs and give
They make it easier to live
So always: hug and forgive

Our emotions they can mend
When hugs we lend
To family or a friend

So please don’t by shy
Make the human soul fly
Just hug, don’t ask why

A living doll that wants to live

April17

This poem I wrote is imagining that the toy dolls we have are actually alive. Also how our behaviour towards them would change if they had feelings like us. I hope you like my poem! :D

Notice that its alive

I breathe silently through the day
In one place it must always stay

It sees and feels and it can hear
Lives its life in the darkness of fear

Scared that one day they’ll make it fall
And will forget to pick it up at all

Or get bored of it in the room
Then throw it away very soon

It just wants a chance to talk
Run away or even try to walk

It wants to drive a car, climb a tree
The opportunity to be free

Its life is just a fight to survive
It wants them to notice its alive

And a little respect they can give
Because it’s a living doll that wants to live!

Kind words

February25

I wrote this poem when I was 6 years old, it is about kind words! Since then I have not adjusted to it at all, I have left it to capture the way I felt all those years ago. I hope that everybody likes it because it is coming from a little girls heart.

Kind words are like a honey,
You don’t have to buy them with money,
You just say them one by one
And the job is done.
Kind words are really great,
It is good to say them to your mate
Even if it is too late.
If you break up with someone,
You just say a kind word, only one
And then you have more fun.
Kind words are the best medicine
And treatment for the heart,
You don’t need to buy them at the pharmacy,
It is so easy to say them, it’s never hard
Kind words are magic,
If someone is sad,
You only say one or two
And at once they will be glad.

I have no reason to be afraid

February14

I am not afraid of spiders
I come from a country where there are many
I am not afraid of becoming poor
As I try to save every penny
I am not afraid of ghosts
As close ones to me have died
I am not afraid of being betrayed
As to me many have lied
I am not afraid of not being loved
As I have seen others alone
I am not afraid of not getting my way
As I know how to moan
I am not afraid of death
As it happens to every one
I am not afraid of being bored
As I know how to have fun!

Snowflakes

January27

Snowflakes are slowly dancing around
Smoothly falling to the ground
Oh they are so soft, unique and neat
However they have frozen my feet!

Noises

January23

The snake hissed at the prey
The blue balloon popped
The large audience clapped
The car screeched as it stopped

The cat meowed for attention
The phone crackled by mistake
I crunched on my food
What noise do you make?

Snow

January11

Snow is so beautifully white
It makes the place so bright
But when it melts away
It changes the mood of the day!

There’s no one like Santa

December9

If I were Santa Claus
Christmas would never be the same
Every young child would be
Looking down at me with shame

My home would be in the south
And not in the north with all the snow
I wouldn’t risk getting stuck in a chimney
So I would climb through a window

My helpers would be talking dogs
And no more tiny high-pitched elves
No one would be helping each other
But all thinking of themselves

Luckily for you I am not Santa
The real one is generous, brave and kind
He spends his time making us happy
And we are always on his mind

While we let Christmas fill our hearts
And he works to his max
He puts a smile on every child’s face
And lets every parent relax

Santa Claus (My Art)

My little cousin

November24

You once were as tall as my knee
Wow! You are growing up fast!
As you live towards the futures
I remember your past

My hamster’s adventures

October20

My hamster has sharp teeth
He digs into the ground
and goes down beneath
But all I know is it took very long
one day he reached to Hong Kong
He didn’t like it there
so he caught the airplane
He decided to go to Spain
He did not have to pay the fare
because he is not as big as a bear
He can just hide under a chair
He met up with some friends
Those were mice
And he thought that Spain is very nice
But still he didn’t like it there
because the sun would burn his hair
So into someone’s bag he went
to go and visit Kent
But Kent wasn’t good
so he thought to himself
Now I want to visit Hollywood
He was writing down a shopping list
Someone saw him and said
you should became an artist
He said “no thank you
something else I want to do
I have to finish traveling around the place
Do you know, one day
I am going to space”
He came back to London again
Now he is called the hamster with fame
This hamster it’s not the same
Because he has a special name
His name is Joey Brown
And lives in a small town
With my family and me
And he is very happy
